The basic active ingredients of exfoliation are enzymes showing a proteolytic effect, i.e. having the ability to destroy proteins contained, among others, in keratinized epidermal cells. These enzymes applied to the skin accelerate the natural process of skin renewal and exfoliate the undesirable stratum corneum by dissolving it. Importantly, they do not damage living skin cells, so they are much milder than chemical peels in which the active ingredients are organic acids.
Enzyme peels are recommended for all skin types (dry, oily and combination). The lack of abrasive particles prevents the skin from heating up. They can be used by people with sensitive skin, prone to irritation or with minor imperfections or acne (the gentle action of enzymes will not cause breakouts). Also, couperose skin can be exfoliated using this type of treatment. There are also no contraindications for the use of enzymatic exfoliation by pregnant and breastfeeding women.
COARSE GRAIN SCRUB PEELING
Coarse-grained face peeling is a cosmetic intended primarily for oily skin, which is characterized by excessive work of the sebaceous glands in the skin. The excess sebum causes the pores in the skin to clog, which results in the formation of blackheads. In addition, oily skin is shiny and sticky to the touch. As a rule, it is thick, yellowish and earthy.
Since clogged pores are a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi, oily skin must be regularly cleaned and exfoliated.
